What is a peel?
It is an exfoliation stimulated by a chemical solution. It is a safe & common practice. We use superficial peels that contain Alpha-hydroxy acids and Beta-hydroxy acids, particularly glycolic acid. For medium peels, the most commonly used agent is TCA.
You can have a peel if you:
* have acne-prone skin
* have dilated pores, excess sebum
* have Fine lines
* want radiance
A peel in no way alters the shape of your face. It's an entirely natural and effetive procedure performed by our trained professional therapists. It is discreet, so those around you will find you radiant without knowing why !
It's strongly recommended to use the home care prescribed by your therapist.
A session generally lasts 15-30 minutes and is made up of several steps; the cleansing of the area to be treated, the application of the peel and finally neautralisation. For the most effective results, you will need a course of 4 peels which are each 2 weeks apart.
During the application of the peel, you will feel tingling which is perfectly normal.
A few hours after the session, a slight redness to a sunburn effect will appear, depending on the type of peel you've received.
